We both greatly enjoyed it, the place is pleasant and absolutely fantastic and suited fine. The hotel's location was MAGNIFICENT, right by Donington Park and minuscule tubes of gel and shampoo. We saw Church of st Peter, that's not too far away from the venue.

We enjoyed a lovely stay, especially the continental breakfast which was delicious. Our family loved exploring the beautiful nearby countryside and the stepping stones by the River Dove. The area had such fine wildlife and flowers.
In my wife's opinion, the hotel could improve soundproofing for better sleep. It would be great if families had a quieter space to relax after a long day.

A good spot to unwind after a day at Alton Towers. The staff were notably friendly, made a good impression. Though the room was slightly cramped, it was perfectly adequate for our needs. The homemade pie and chips for dinner were really good, and the full English breakfast was a nice way to start the day despite the morning noise from local golfers. Would gladly return for another night in the future.

Friendly staff, comfortable room, always smiling and happy to help, not only ensured we had options for breakfast but also made us feel welcome with a free drink upon arrival.
Not a single issue.

The grilled fish was good, fresh with a splash of local flavor that had me swooning! Plus, the bar area managed a cozy vibe. The staff also stood out, always ready with a warm smile.
It's more a pub with rooms, so the noise was a right bother until the wee hours, not to mention the basic breakfast caught me off guard. The en-suite had a few cracked tiles needing a bit of TLC, but the charm was still there.
